Herman Herfert a claim holder living near the Zahl ranch north of the city suffered a back fracture in a wind storm last Wednesday night. His shack overturned trapping him. he crawled to the wreckage, was found after about 17 hours, and taken to Brands hospital. Doctors say the back is broken. his parents are in Michigan and his brother may come. He is about 25, unmarried, resting but in serious condition.
