Missouri Ridge social notes from Williston region
Miss Bertha King of Williston visited with Mr and Mrs Howe last week. A large number from the Ridge attended Reverend Stinsons funeral Monday. Several families including the Blankenships and Hickos visited kin. Fishing trips yielded luck for Wit Ramey and Millard Anderson. Anne Guthrie spent the summer with her sister Mrs H C Blankenship. Numerous callers and dinners marked the weekend in the Missouri Ridge community.

Grenora Notes Share Local Happenings and Visits
Roswell Pherritt of Kenmare was here today and Mrs. Dr. Claybough enjoyed a visit from her father this week. Three Grenora young men are called to the army on the 24th. Fred Fortier and Henry Loman of Wildrose were here on business. Frank Leetrail dug a den of wolves with seven pups found. The rest room at the American Hotel is a success. Mr. Schriber plans a large house, to be the finest in Grenora. Heavy rain Friday evening benefited crops. A child nearly poisoned by carbeli acid. Mrs. A J Peterson of Wildrose and Mrs. Alstead of Alamo called on friends at the hotel. Mrs. Martin Aker, Miss Neil and Mrs. Salverson of Wildrose visited the Larsons. The Brush Lake dance and moving pictures were well attended, though the hall was too small. The Sunday School Convention was a success with attractive class heats and smooth management. Visitors from across the county attended.
