Boy Aeronaut Drowns After Flag Entanglement
Frederick L Wood an 18-year old aeronaut from New Haven Conn fell into the Passaic river near Hillside Park Passaic N J while parachuting from 2000 feet and waving an American flag. The flag became wrapped around his legs as he neared the river causing him to drown before aid could reach him. The body had not been recovered by late hour.

Cuba Bank Robbery by Four Men Stirs Town
Four men burst into the Cuba Kansas bank on Monday, looting the vault of between 6000 and 8000 dollars after an explosion awakened cashier John Tobler. A chase followed, with posse pursuit ongoing as robbers fled toward Belleville on a handcar after threatening depot agents and warning residents to stay back.

Mystery on the Mississippi Death Probe Weighs Murder Claim
Coroner Streeper Monday theorized the unidentified woman found in the Mississippi near Alton was murdered. Postmortem showed no water in lungs though body likely weeks in water, neck broken. A photo of one eye’s retina was taken to capture the killer’s image, allegedly revealing a bearded man with a hooked nose and sparse hair.
