In Fairview Montana yesterday a large turnout celebrated a satisfactory adjustment of irrigation payments. Williston leaders led a parade with eleven autos, the fife and drum corps, and a barbecue as Governor Norris and local officials spoke. Mayor Jackson praised the valley’s growth and urged continued cooperation on rail and development projects.

Williston May Have Brick Yard
A rich clay deposit east of Williston, formerly G. B. Metzger and now A. L Burdick, attracts brick concerns. It is sixteen feet thick and rated first class brick clay. Burdick will have it tested by Prof. Babcock of the North Dakota Agricultural College to gauge prospects for a large brick yard by fall.

Alumni Reorganization at Williston High Sees New Officers
The Alumni of Williston High School reorganized at the central school building last Monday. Waldo Leonhardy the first graduate was elected president, George Newton vice president, and Miss Madison secretary and treasurer. An elaborate banquet was served by the domestic science department for over forty guests.

Man loses foot after Trains strike Mondak incident
Sven Holmes who runs a rooming house south of the wholesale house was run over by a train at Mondak last night. His right foot was badly injured and had to be amputated after he slipped while attempting to board the Dinky as it left Mondak. The injury occurred about twelve o'clock in Mondak.

Young Man Dies Crossing River In Tragic Drowning
Ray Higby a young man from near Trenton drowned in the Missouri river after a ferry accident and cable entanglement. Rescue attempts by L H Wilson, W E Harman, and Frank Fagnant failed. Higby left behind a father, mother, and eight siblings.
Mrs. James H. Cooper Dies After Pneumonia
Mrs. James H. Cooper died at her home from a sudden pneumonia attack Saturday evening. She had been active last week and was unconscious from Thursday until the final hours. Funeral services were held Monday at the home, conducted by Rev. Hollett and Rev. Bloom, with cremation per her wishes. The remains were sent to Minneapolis by train with relatives, Elks, and local club members aboard. ashes to be returned for burial.
