Ordination of Rev Thomas A Taylor in Williston Church
The Ecclesiastical Council met at the Congregational church in Williston on Monday July 28 at 2 30 p m to examine Rev Thomas A Taylor. The examination was thorough and stern but successful. An ordination service followed at 8 p m with Rev G J Powell of Fargo preaching on I Tim 4 7. Rev Taylor received the gospel ministry and Rev W H Stickney of Fargo gave the ordaining prayer. The church reports growth and the people’s encouragement. A reception for the Council and Rev and Mrs Taylor closed the service with refreshments.
