Ray N D July 29 the body of A T Drakeley was found by Mrs W C Bode along a road in a pool of water after he likely succumbed to heat while walking home to his son’s house. Doctors cite apoplexy as the cause. Born Cottage Grove Wis June 8 1844 he was about 70. He helped settle Steele County North Dakota served as first federal judge there and sheriff briefly. His wife died 1904 and he remarried in 1906 to Mrs W L Aldrich who survives him. He moved to Williams County five years ago to farm near Angie. He leaves five children George and William sons and three daughters Mrs John Oxton Mrs Wm Oxton and Mrs W E Elliott of Finley ND.

Injured Farmer Found After Runaway Near Marmon
Arthur Patterson, a Marmon-area farmer, lay unconscious in his field after a runaway incident. Discovered Friday by E R Brownson, he was taken to his shack, then brought to the city hospital where he remained unconscious until Tuesday. He suffered a fractured jaw in two places and multiple head injuries along with cuts and bruises.
