Horse spooks buggy injuring two men in city incident
Monday evening Byron Lyons of this city and John Allen of Minot were riding when a horse bolted, throwing Lyons and Allen from the rig. The buggy smashed into a tele phone pole near the Graphic office, the horse fled along the sidewalk past the Great Northern hotel, crowding spectators into the hotel. Both men escaped with only a slight shaking amid a large crowd of women and children.

Visitors Tour Jamestown Asylum Grounds
During a Jamestown convention visitors from the county were shown through the asylum two miles from the city. The new building, completed last year at a cost of $65,000, overlooks the valley and Jamestown. It is described as a model facility though not fully finished.

Williston announces a first class concert by the Luther College Band Glee Club and Decorah soloists at the Opera house on Sunday evening August 5 with 46 musicians led by Prof Speratis. At a meeting last Friday the Williston band formed the Williston Concert Band with officers Joho Bruegger as president Robert Bell as vice president and Omstad as leader A committee including C E Davis A Omstad and C H Smith was named to draft by laws The group plans to keep its high state standing and aims to be second to none An open air concert is set for next Friday evening.
