Two killed at Donnybrook in farm tragedy

Minot July 14 enraged brother John Allen shot his sister Ellen Ruen at the Allen farm after finding her dancing with Kohler. He then killed himself with a 32 caliber pistol. The Ruen farm lies ten miles from Donnybrook and all involved are well known in the area.

The injured Polaskie was carried home and died yesterday from a concussion of the brain. He leaves a wife and large family nearly penniless after two months in the United States. Goosby is jailed at Forman amid threats of mob violence.

Whitecaps Kill Hayes Family at Culbertson Montana

A claim dispute near Culbertson Montana escalated to violence when armed men forced the Hayes family from their claim. John A Hayes and his eight year old daughter were killed as gunfire broke out at the Hayes home. Mrs Hayes and four other children hid inside. The shooter party warned Hayes that they must leave within 24 hours before opening fire.
