The eighth annual summer term of the Minot Normal School opened on Wednesday June 28 with President Crapo directing the term and Professor Clark stepping in as director. Enrollment nears 300 as faculty expands with instructors from North Dakota and beyond. A Shakespearean Pageant is planned for August 8 under Colton. Dr. G A Bricker of Syracuse University spoke on Rural Art and Education. Minot residents generously host the school’s guests with about 75 homes providing rooms and meals and the dormitory capacity strained by 119 girls and 300 students and staff in dining and cafeteria services.

Fire at Mondak Destroys Barn and Several Buildings
Thursday morning around 6 a.m. a blaze started in the Cosand Livery barn at Mondak and spread rapidly. The fire consumed the barn, the John Gund Bro. Company house, Jake Seel's saloon, and Brader's saloon, with flames burning out after extensive damage.
