Accident at hospital ignites alcohol lamp sparking blaze
At a hospital Wednesday noon an alcohol lamp flare caused a fire in the operating room. Dr. Lancaster filled the lamp with alcohol, the cork was removed, gas ignited and flames enveloped him. He escaped with burns as aides and a fire extinguisher controlled the blaze.
