Willis ton Correspondence Reports Local Visits and Weather

Benetraits Miss Thea Buer returns from Wil liston and will winter with her parents. R W Nudd visits with his wife on the claim. Mrs Singraas is on the sick list. Mr and Mrs Seland hosted Mrs Annie Thompson's guests last Sunday. The Ladies Aid will meet while cold weather lasts. Misses Buer and Thompson enjoyed pleasant weather Sunday. I C Borstad was in Willis ton on business, returned Sunday. I O Wilson has returned from his eastern trip.

Garden Valley Social Officers Elevate Local Club

Garden Valley notes list the Literary Society meeting last Friday and new officers Alfred Elliott president Miss Guthrie vice president Miss Beranek secretary Randolph Reider treasurer. A basket social to aid the Garden Valley Band is planned for February with a good program and invitations issued. An upcoming Friday party hosted by W. Francis is announced for February 12 a neighbor Charley Clark is mentioned as a frequent visitor.

Painted Wood Weather Sparks Farmer Complaints

Farmers complain about the weather while WilListon shoppers visit Saturday. W. F. Garretson has coal and supplies. Vern McMurrin keeps hope for water. Mrs. James Ramey visits C. J. Cook and wife. youths gather at Chris Nelson’s home for games. J. J. Larsen helps dig a well. Ed Davis inspects Garretson coal mine and finds it great. Lincoln’s birthday rag ball set for Feb 12 with a schoolhouse social.

Weather Improves and Farm Trade Boosts Grain Haul

Last week brought better weather and now McKenzie county farmers haul large grain loads to Rey and Wheelock. Local residents from Hofland Wheelock and nearby towns traded at Nesson store Monday amid visits by Art Wilkinson and J E Littlefield. A social hop occurred at Marion Frances' Friday night. John McKay returned from a five to six week stay in Canada noting it very cold with two feet of snow.
