A Trenton woman Mrs. L. J. Ezell is among the dead and her husband Mr. Ezell seriously injured after a head on collision between westbound passenger train No. 5 and an eastbound double header freight on the Denver and Rio Grande line near Glenwood Springs. The list includes Henry D. Dunn Princeton Indiana and others across several states. several relatives identify the deceased and injured.

Stewart Bound Over in Resisting Officer Case

Robert L. Stewart known as the bri quette man faced a hearing on resisting an officer and was bound over to district court by Justice Allen. Bonds set at 200 dollars. Stewart could not post bonds promptly and stayed with the sheriff briefly. Deputies Poe and Blankenship previously tried to foreclose a battle mortgage on Stewart’s furniture. they returned empty handed after Stewart allegedly confronted them with a double barbed shotgun.

Bodies of American consul and wife found in Messina ruins

The bodies of Arthur S. Cheney and his wife were recovered from the American consulate in Messina after the earthquake. Sailors aboard the battleship Illinois located them and shipments are arranged to transport remains to Naples aboard the Culgoa. Cheney served in the U S consular service since 1906 and was posted to Messina in 1907.
