Death of William L. Potter at age forty nine
William L. Potter died at the hospital Sunday morning at six o'clock after suffering with Brights disease. Funeral services were held Tuesday at 10:30 in the M. E. church led by Rev. Hullett. Burial followed in Williston cemetery. He was forty nine years old. Advertising farmers are usually money making farmers. Ever notice it?

Court Adjourns In Ward County After Guilty Verdicts
Judge Leighton adjourned court last Friday without date to convene the term in Ward County. The State v William Landers resulted in a not guilty verdict by the jury after multiple jury requests. Melvin H Howe, convicted of grand larceny, awaits sentence with a new trial sought and arguments to be heard soon. Howe is out on bail.

Deputies Nab Russian Man After Corral Horse Theft
Deputies J. L. Jarstad A. W. Stanton and Frank Boyd pursued Charlie Herman a Russian living west of town for stealing four horses from Boyd’s corral. After a scuffle at Herman home Monday Herman was arrested with six shooters used, charged with obstructing an officer. He posted $1000 bond and faces a hearing today.
