Constitutionality Debate Favors Unanimous Court Approval
In a North Dakota legislative discussion the proposal would require unanimous Supreme Court agreement to declare a statute unconstitutional. Proponents argue this protects the majority’s right to govern, while critics warn against bias in mixed grounds among justices. The idea, echoed in other states and federal discussions, emphasizes court authority to rule on constitutionality. Grand Forks Herald reports the debate and related community notes from Williston events.
