The Commercial Club held its regular annual meeting at the I. O. O. F. hall last Friday. Directors to fill retiring terms were elected. Chas Mansfield John Bruegger William Denny W B Overson and George Buhler named. A stenographer allowance was debated and a committee formed to endorse the emigration bill with copies to lawmakers. The session adjourned to Feb 5.

Death of Mrs Joyce at eight miles west of town
Mrs A H Joyce died Tuesday morning from hemorrhage after childbirth. Medical aid arrived too late. She leaves a husband and seven children, eldest eight, youngest an infant. Funeral plans await word from relatives in the east arriving for the service.

Prisoners Taken to Bismarck for Sentences

Andrew Solbro of Kay was badly hurt Sunday when a child threw a prune pit striking his eye. He arrived in the city on No. 3 that evening and received treatment for the wound. The eye is unlikely to lose sight despite the pain.
