The M E Church plans a December 22 sermon and December 24 children program at 3 PM with a log cabin, candy for each child, and a Santa visit rumored. Congregational church features a morning sermon on The Prince of Peace and an illustrated Christmas life lecture in the evening.
Local Salvation Army members plan a Christmas basket campaign for city families in need. Donations of cash, food items, tea and coffee are welcome and baskets will be displayed Tuesday at the army hall on Main Street. Captains Bacon and McLean oversee the effort with a Christmas tree event on Friday December 27 1912.
Frank Walter Hamilton born February 5 1869 in Lapeer County Michigan died December 13 at 3 PM from stomach cancer. Survived by wife three children Nellie Clarence Blanche brother Fred E and friend Ralph Hollar. He moved to town with family in 191% worked as a carpenter at the Great Northern Round House until eight months ago. Funeral at West Broadway family residence Sunday at 2 PM with railroad neighbors pallbearers and choir. Interment in Williston cemetery.
