President McFarland received an ovation on return from a western trip with bouquets on his table as students and faculty led a loud demonstration. Faculty members Froysan Dedrick Rice and Fridd gave a concert at Fingal. A mock county fair by the Young Women’s Association drew strong patronage and funds. State education heads visited for a conference, with a dinner for guests from domestic science. The Model school now features a modern childrens library praised for its comfort. Prof. James judged a county corn and potato contest at Rugby and spoke to school directors on “A Square Deal For the Country Boy.”
