Williston grain merchants and bankers funded three chain hoists to speed moving wheat from wagons to sleighs in poor roads. Hoists placed five to twelve miles from the city, each operated by a attendant for a 25 cent toll per load. If successful, more sets may be added and owned by the city.

Court Convenes Dec 13 Jury Called Jan 4 1916
Judge Fisk will convene district court December 13 with calendar calls and cases set for trial. The jury is scheduled for January 4 1916. Gene Samuel pleaded guilty to importing intoxicating liquors and received 90 days in county jail and a $200 fine. After the Gordon decision, Samuel was remanded to serve 110 days plus 314 75 dollars in costs.
