Williston community notes record visits of R. M. Self from Bonetrail, Anton Amundson of Manger, and others. The Sons of Norway elect officers. Salvation Army Christmas plans. a library lecture on a 17th century murder case. multiple social events at I C O F hall and the Literary Club.
The Salvation Army outlines weekly gatherings with Sunday services at 3 PM and 8 PM for Sunday school and salvation. Weeknight meetings run on Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 8 PM with Friday as holiness services. Captains Bacon and McLean lead the local work and invite all to attend free seats.
The tiny son of Mr M Seaman and wife was ill last week but is improving. A basket social at Tando school last Saturday night raised funds to buy a school organ. Miss Mildred Trumbo was under a doctor’s care but is improving. Miss Lottie Puffer will winter at Good Luck Store. Misses Anna Guthrie and Marian Snook shopped in Williston Saturday. Charlie R Seaman left for home near Toledo Illinois after months with cousin T M Seaman.
Marriages by Rev Nelson unite H J Adden of this city and Carrie V Fosse of Stanley on Thanksgiving day in Stanley. They will reside in Williston at the J J Blair house. The couple are well known locally and return to Williston for their new life. Harry Grey of Buford and Agnes Dubois wed at J A Thompson home with E S Shaw officiating. The couple plan to live in Buford, with best wishes from many friends.
Marcus Lundy Drennen and Alma Sophia Leddell of Bonetrail were married by Rev. Wickard at the M E parsonage on Saturday November 30 at 6 30. They leave for a Chicago wedding trip and will reside in Bonetrail where the groom works as a salesman. A wide circle of friends extend congratulations.
Harry W. Nelson and Nannie Flowers of Ray exchanged marriage vows at the Methodist parsonage at noon on December 28. Rev. Wickard officiated and the couple will reside on the groom's farm south of Ray, as friends extend congratulations.
Mr Ray McNeil of Wolf Point Montana and Miss Esther Melander of Temple North Dakota married on Tuesday December 3 at the Methodist parsonage officiated by Rev Wickard. They left for Wolf Point to establish residence on the groom's claimed property.
