Notice of Teachers Examination in Williston and Crosby
The next regular teachers examination will be held on the last Friday and Saturday in August at the school buildings in Williston and Crosby. Those with conditional certificates in May must write. No permits issued to county teachers until returns are received. The Superintendent will provide paper. each teacher must bring pen and ink. The program for August 30 and 31, 1907 includes Reading rules, Preliminary, Algebra, Geometry, Geography, Psychology, Theory and Practice, Natural Philosophy, Language and Grammar, Physiology and Hygiene, Orthography. Experimental Farm Selected for County Project
A committee named by Prof Linfield Prof Shephard and Mr Cos tello reviewed lands within two miles of the city and chose 160 acres for an experimental farm. The site, northeast of town, comes from four parcels and will include 20 acres irrigation bottom land 45 acres dry farming 30 acres beach land and rolling areas. Funds are sought from citizens and farmers beyond Williston as a state appropriation of 7000 dollars for buildings may be lost if purchase does not proceed. Contributions can be sent to Jos W Jackson secretary of the commercial club or to president E C Carney.

Sudden Death Aboard Train Near Culbertson
Andrew Pranda, working with the Bob Fitzsimmons crowd of bridge carpenters, died on train No. 6 en route from Culbertson to Williston likely from appendicitis. He had taken Jamaica ginger after cramps and was later deemed dead by a conductor. Coroner and Dr. Belyea ruled natural causes and a post mortem was unnecessary.
