Knife Sticks in Boy Eye in Narrow Escape

Seven year old Jimmie Boussiman was playing near Bijou when a large jack knife opened by him fell and plunged into his right eye. Bystanders Mr. Shuttleworth and Mr. Powell restrained him as the blade lodged in bone. After stitches at Dr Hagen’s, the boy’s condition improved and doctors warned a lower entry could have brain injury.

Foot Crushed by Car Wheel in Yard Accident

Win Hopkins, a right car repairer, suffered a severe foot injury when a wheel ran over his foot Tuesday night. The bottom bone was torn away, and muscles and tendons were severely damaged above the ankle. Doctors Van Dyke and Hagen attempted to save the foot, as Hopkins declined amputation, unsure how the accident occurred or which train was in the yards.

Hunter Shot Near Minot Kills Minot Man Instantly

Alvin Albertson of Minot, half brother of Mrs. John Settle of Williston, was killed instantly Monday when his shotgun discharged while he and friends hunted three miles from Minot. He turned to ask about a dog, the gun discharged both barrels, one striking his head and the other his neck. Mr Albertson, the victim’s father, is a G N engineer traveling between Williston and Minot.

The Williston Land Company paid 8 000 dollars for Gene Field s 160 acre farm just north of the city making 50 dollars per acre. The property is among the finest in Williams county and part of the land was chosen for the Experimental Station project.

A Snake Tale From Spring Creek Man Captures Forty Snakes

Fred Schewem of Spring Creek in McKenzie County recounts a long string of rattlesnakes he has killed over recent weeks. The snakes average more than three feet. one measured four feet with seventeen rattles. He sent the total collection to the Cincinnati Zoo.

Doctor Dochterman and wife return from two month trip

Dr Dochterman and his wife came back last Thursday after two months traveling through the east. They visited the Twin Cities Chicago Omaha Detroit and his old home in Indiana. He pursued postgraduate work focusing on surgery with most study done in Detroit.

Cigar man Bill Leggett visits city trade

Bill Leggett known as the cigar man called on the trade in the city and visited the Graphic Office last night. He announced he would subscribe for what he regards as the county’s best paper and left a box of Baby Burns cigars on the hoes desk as a gift.
