Wilmer Eckert a 1878 Bowling Green Ohio native and Williston area farmer died after his Ford runabout overturned on a main highway east of the city. City Engineer F R Porritt was injured but survived. The flat tire claim and cause remain unclear. Eckert born in Ohio came to Williston about a decade ago and left a large farm near Avoca. He was single and active in local fraternal groups and politics. Funeral plans and shipment of the body to Ohio were noted.
