Old game in new form swindles North Dakotan in land deal
Grand Forks, August 7. Two hundred wild horses said to roam an Arizona ranch were traded to H. B. Halvorson for 620 acres valued at $31,000. Halvorson must gather the animals himself, a clause cited by Grand Forks attorneys as a setup by manipulators. He traveled to Flagstaff and learned the ranch exists but horses, if any, are hard to obtain. He says others have been swindled and that wild horses frauds involve selling deeds to others to “get square.”
