General Walker Dies Sudden at Supper Table
Gen Thomas M Walker died unexpectedly while seated for dinner at the Metropolitan hotel Fargo ND on April 8. He registered with his niece Miss Annie M Daughry and after two minutes the death was found. He leaves a widow an adopted daughter and the niece. He had a noted war record and was postmaster of Erie PA for eight years. Death due to heart failure.

William D Parshall died in Fairbault Minnesota April 9 after a second stroke of paralysis. A longtime county commissioner serving his third term he was a Masonic member and was buried with Masonic rites. Born 1847 in Ashtabula Ohio he came to the northwest in 1856 and spent early years in Fort Buford and the Black Hills before joining G M Hedderich in 1878. His passing ends a widely known career among local oldtimers.

A prairie fire from the Morical farm swept toward Rudser North Dakota on Tuesday after ash from a grass fire ignited the area.
