The Farmers institute held at the courthouse drew strong attendance as speakers urged diversified farming and soil moisture preservation. Director Palmer cited experiments supporting harrowing as saving moisture, calling the barrow the Water Wagon. The event highlighted practical tips for farmers and a slogan to use diversified farming methods. Easter Sale and Supper planned by the M E church Ladies Aid for April 20 with a menu including roast beef and custard pie.

Young Woman Dies in Williston Room
The body of Margaret MacInnes was found Friday night in a room at the Trimmer rooming house on Main street. The coroner’s inquest began and is ongoing. She arrived from Medicine Lake Montana days earlier and died about Thursday evening under suspicious circumstances. Three brothers and a brother in law brought her remains to Dazey North Dakota for burial.

River steamboat service to reopen upper Missouri route
