Herbst of the 14th infantry U S A and Major Stedem military secretary to the president and retiring army officer. Three Firemen Survive Fall as Roof Collapses in Bottineau Fire
Bottineau North Dakota April 17. Three firefighters were carried through a blazing Tranl building to the basement when the roof caved in and fell. C Ferguson Fred Byers and Duncan McArthur were seriously injured and slightly burned while escaping to the street through basement windows. The fire began with a gasoline stove explosion in Hamilton and Sons tailor shop. Outside of the building damage the loss was slight.
