Williston residents staged a large Saturday parade to rally support for the war. John Heffernan led as Uncle Sam with three Native American figures, followed by the Allied flags, Williston and High School bands, Red Cross ladies in white, and a well drilled Home Guard. The Great Northern round house workers closed the line with a large liberty bell banner.

Head on collision on G N Thursday near Drew
A head on collision occurred about a mile west of Drew sixty two miles west of Williston on Thursday morning after eight.
