Blossom Family Festival set for Oct 12 at Depot park

The first Blossom Family Festival will occur Saturday October 12 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Depot and park with free music by Waymark and the Small Town Singers. Willard Church of God organizer Keleen Woodlock says the event aims to engage area churches and agencies in community outreach with games prizes clothing giveaways and information booths from Job and Family Services and Abigail Pregnancy Center. Activities include face painting sand volleyball bean bag toss and ring toss with a DARE car and a drug dog present. The festival will proceed rain or shine with all activities free.

Willard bicyclist dies after collision with trailer

Roy Kilgore, 67, died after his bicycle struck the rear of a semi tractor trailer exiting the Blossom Centre in Willard on Tuesday at 11 31 am. He was ejected and died later at Mercy Willard Hospital. Police continue the investigation. driver identity not released.
