The 1933 34 Whitewright public schools start Friday with an 8 15 a m opening and a short day. A late-delivered Dallas bus will not be ready before Friday and rural students may need their own transport for Friday. Funeral for Ely Citizen Isaac Booher Held at Marvin Church
Funeral services for Isaac William Booher were held Wednesday at 2 30 PM at Marvin Methodist Church NE of Ely. Rev. Fender and assistants conducted the rites. He was born February 1 1851 in Virginia and died Monday at his Ely home. Interment was in Oak Hill Cemetery. Surviving are his wife eight children a sister and several grandchildren.

Cotton rose about a dollar per bale on Monday with smaller gains Tuesday and Wednesday. Buyers indicated they would pay around 9.25 at market close, few sales occurred at 9 to 9.10 earlier. Seed price steady at 13.00 per ton. receipts declined due to heavy rains.
