Rev. J. R. Waldrum arrived as pastor of the Church of Christ and was welcomed by an overflow crowd including eight ministers and city church members. The move followed a longstanding Whitewright custom of greeting new pastors during a Sunday evening service. A pastors association was formed after the service, with Rev. J. T. Purvis elected chairman and Rev. J. H. Hawkins secretary. meetings will be held monthly.

Recluse Dies in Squalor on Oklahoma Farm
Fred G. Kruckenberg, a recluse living in a squalid home on a Fanhswake area farm bought from the Government in 1917, was found unconscious and died before help arrived. Investigation found nearly 12 dollars in cash. His family includes a German teacher father, a Berlin university language head brother in law, and a German doctor brother.

Eugene Malatesta with appendicitis signs aided by his wife as she started a car to rush him to hospital. The car backfired and burned. Malatesta then extinguished the flames and recovered. His wife, after calling the fire department, slipped and broke an arm. He drove her to the hospital.

Boy 16 Is Given 4 Year Term In Theft Case
In Amarillo Federal Court Jimmie Bell a Clarendon youth received a four year term at the National Training School for transporting a stolen automobile. Maybelle Hamilton of Amarillo got a six months suspended sentence after pleading guilty to obtaining merchandise with uncashable checks. Bob Petty of Amarillo, age 19, drew one year and a day on a similar charge after sending a large check to a mail order house while in jail.

Boy Dies After Fractured Skull In Wichita Falls Accident
Walter Horn Priddy aged 12 died in a local hospital at 8 10 Monday from a fractured skull sustained when he ran into an automobile while crossing the street in front of his home Saturday evening. The driver, an out of town man, took him to the hospital and Priddy could not recall the driver's name though he spoke with him.
