Lena Mae Gowdy announced the death of Mrs. Mary Wellington wife of the late Blach Wellington on Oct 12. Blach Wellington who grew up in Whitewright died about two years ago and had worked at Otis Elevator Co. after World War I. He moved from Whitewright to New Jersey seeking retirement but returned after finding old friends gone. Plus a note on a Cong Reinecke report criticizing a 35 000 appropriation for elevator operators in a 125 million House office building with automatic elevators.

Mrs. Charlie N Ross 81 died Tuesday in a Dallas hospital. Funeral services held at 10 a m in Earnheart chapel conducted by Rev Delmar J Rogers and Dr Herbert R Howard. Burial in Pilot Grove Cemetery. She was born April 20 1884 at Bethel and survived by two sons one daughter two brothers one sister three grandchildren and three great grandchildren. She was a member of Enterprise Baptist Church.
Grace Clendening died Sunday in Aransas Pass. Funeral and burial were held there Wednesday. Survived by daughter Mrs. W. W. Crist of Refugio, sons Ritchie Clendening and Dan Clendening, three sisters, three brothers, and seven grandchildren. She was an ex student of Grayson College.

A drug industry report shows four federal agencies spent 272.793 million aspirin pills last year. Agencies include the Veterans Administration, Health, Education and Welfare, the Defense Medical Supply Center, and the General Services Administration. Most were regular aspirin with a smaller number buffered.
