Unknown Soldier Chosen Blindly by Army Sergeant Younger

Edward F Younger, a 20-year-old from Chicago, selected one of four WWI fallen soldiers as the Unknown Soldier in Chalons Sur Marne after shuffling caskets. He says his choice was random, with no reasoning, and later attended Memorial Day ceremonies in Washington as a representative of veterans groups. He served in the Ninth Infantry and was wounded twice in the Meuse-Argonne campaign.
