Ruie Dixon aged 18 died at his Lone Oak Texas home on Friday October 11 1918 after influenza and pneumonia. He worked at the M E T station in Whitewright and had many friends in the city. Survived by parents and several brothers and sisters. Funeral services were held at Lone Oak.

He leaves a wife Mrs Bertha Caylor Stepp and two sons, plus his aged parents of Aquone North Carolina. Born in South Carolina he moved to Texas twelve years ago and worked in farming then road work. A Baptist, he was well liked in Whitewright. Funeral Monday at Wittitoe cemetery led by Rev W J Epting with assistants Rev I E Teague and Rev J C Skaggs.
