Important Questions To Be Decided By Cotton Referendum
Cotton producers will vote December 10 on marketing quotas and price supports for 1958. If two thirds favor quotas, the program continues and price supports run 75 to 90 percent of parity with quota penalties on excess cotton. If more than one third oppose quotas, no penalties and price supports drop to 50 percent. Acreage allotments stay in effect for eligibility. Eligible voters are upland cotton producers in 1957.
