N. G. Ross a Whitewright resident for twelve years died Monday at 4:30 p.m. after six weeks of bed confinement and three years of poor health. Born in Bradley County Tennessee he turned 75 last August. He married Sarah Witt in 1885 and moved to Texas in 1895 settling near Pilot Grove. He owned a general store at Pilot Grove before moving to Whitewright and was a longtime Baptist and past active Mason. Funeral Tuesday 2:30 p.m. at home. interment Pilot Grove Cemetery. Fire at Kimbell Mills Damages Warehouse
Thursday afternoon about four o clock fire was discovered in a large Kimbell Mills warehouse containing several thousand bushels of car corn. The blaze grew before alarm and was stopped by the fire department with minimal loss, mainly from water used to extinguish the flames.
