Woman Operates 1000 Gallon Still Raid Net Arrest
Dallas sheriff officers raid a White Rock Lake area house as part of a countywide drive to dry up Dallas County. They arrested a 24-year-old woman driving an expensive car after officers waited inside. About 100 gallons of whisky, 2000 gallons of mash and a 1000 gallon still were seized. Sheriff-Elect Hal Hood led the operation with Deputies Holt Thames and Walker. The suspect remained silent in jail.

Optometry Law Struck Down by Texas Court of Criminal Appeals

High Power Line Crew Moved Here
A twenty man crew moved to Whitewright to build the high power electric line from Whitewright to Farmersville, work progressing southward. The line from Farmersville to Blue Ridge is finished and Blue Ridge lights came on last Thursday. Heads from Fort Worth witnessed the lighting and a plant engine arrival, with another due, as the plant is rushed to operate by early January.

High School To Hear Damrosch Educational Program

The Woodmen Circle national board awarded the administration building contract for the home for aged members and children in Sherman. Cowan Bros. of Shawnee won the general contract with J C Konioth handling plumbing and Koepen Baldwin Denison wiring.
