A meeting of farmers and interested citizens will be held at the grammar school auditorium Monday at 7 pm. Grayson County farm agent W O Teddlie will explain the 1939 government farm program and its differences from this year. County home demonstration agent Miss Eunice King will outline 1939 plans for women’s club work.
A small dwelling on the T. C. L. Hall farm southwest of Whitewright was destroyed by fire Monday at about 2 30 p m The dwelling and contents were a total loss No insurance was carried on building or contents Barns and Feed Burn Two barns and a granary on the old Alexander homestead were destroyed by fire about midnight Sunday Mrs E R Alexander who resides on the farm lost hundreds of bushels of corn several tons of hay and other feed stuff a calf and several turkeys She had no insurance O S Callaway of Dallas owner of the farm had 1000 insurance on buildings

O T Clark of Fort Worth head of the Community Public Service Company ice division spoke at the Rotary Club lunch on salesmanship and advertising. He explained how mechanical refrigeration disrupted the industry and how a focused campaign revived sales, aided by humor and stories.
