James A. Massey 59 of the Ely community died in a Bonham hospital at 11 30 a m Saturday after a year long illness from a heart attack. Funeral services were held at Earnheart Chapel Sunday at 4 p m with Rev Elmer Thomas and Rev R L Cates officiating. Burial was in Oak Hill Cemetery. He was born December 6 1896 in Ely, married Myrtle Howard on September 27 1927, and was a World War I veteran. Survivors include his wife a son a daughter his father three brothers a sister and five grandchildren.
