Palace Theatre Changes Hands

Horton and Johnson announced they will lease the theatre, and the new owners plan to move to the city next week to take charge on Monday. The theatre, built for over 11000, has drawn liberal patronage and shown popular pictures.

Grammar School Boys Win In Baseball Championship
The grammar school baseball team of boys under fifteen won the Grayson County interscholastic league title with a 7 to 2 victory over Tioga at Sherman on the Austin College diamond. Coach J. T. Bryant led the squad after earlier eliminations by whitesboro 25 to 1 and Southmayde 9 to 3.

Allie D. Galey Killed In Auto Accident Near Sherman
Allie D. Galey 43 was fatally injured when his parked truck was struck by a coupe driven by J L Hawkins of Denison on the Sherman Denison highway north of Sherman. Galey died at Wilson N Jones Hospital after the crash which also injured Frances Mattingly 18 Duby Padgett 17 and Claud Tignor 20. Hawkins suffered injuries not described as serious. Funeral services were held at the Whitewright Methodist Church with American Legion pallbearers. Galey survived by three children and a brother and two sisters. He was a World War veteran and had lived in Whitewright since moving from New York City years earlier.

American pianist Bomar Cramer born in Sherman will perform at Central Christian Church Sherman Friday at 8 pm. Proceeds go to the church building fund.
