Sherman June 21 Allie S Noble was reappointed as county auditor by District Judges F E Wilcox and Silas Hare Monday. Noble began county service in July 1913 and will have served fourteen years as auditor by June 30 at the end of the current fiscal year. The two year appointment runs from July 1 1927.

Mother Drowns After Saving Children in Cow Creek Tragedy
In Cal, June 22, Mrs Maude Foster slipped into Cow Creek while the family was nearby. Three children Bertha Irene 15 Frank Clifford 18 and Marian Irma 11 drowned as Stella Foster 17 saved their mother but failed to rescue the others. Frank was swept downstream while attempting to reach his sisters.
