Bells principal Leslie Morris West named Tom Bean schools chief

Leslie Morris West, Bells high school principal and football coach, has been elected superintendent of Tom Bean schools. He succeeds G. E. Denny, who moved to Honey Grove, and assumes duties in July. West came to Bells with Supt Stacy Newman and was later promoted to principal while keeping coaching duties.

James Dixon Suffers Broken Jaw In Bicycle Crash

James Dixon sustained a fractured jaw and four missing teeth after a bicycle accident while testing two wheel brakes on a concrete highway. He was taken to a Sherman hospital, where a plaster cast was applied, and he was sent home to recover on liquids for the next two to three weeks.

Funeral services for Marion Geer held at Elmont Baptist

Marion F Geer 78 grandfather of Clarence Tillett of Whitewright dies Monday in a Sherman hospital. Services at 2 p m today at Elmont Baptist Church with burial in Elm Grove Cemetery near Westminster.
