Oldtime High Wire Man Walks Again at 81 in Evergreen
Ivy Baldwin, famed high wire artist and daredevil, demonstrates a three foot high crosswire at his Evergreen home at age 81. He recalls 156 foot dives in Japan, a 635 foot canyon crossing in Colorado, and a 820 foot walk in Lead, South Dakota before retirement in 1928 after 21 years of wire journeys. Baldwins real name is William Ivy and he served in the Spanish American War.
