Funeral services for S/Sgt Jones Paul Alexander will be at 3 p m Sunday at Bethel Baptist Church near Whitewright. Burial in Oak Hill Cemetery with the American Legion in charge. Alexander born March 29 1920 in Bethel community enlisted Sept 19 1941 served in India Aug 1944 until his death Aug 2 1945. He will arrive in Whitewright Friday at 11 32 a m and be met by ex service men. He is survived by his father five brothers and a sister.

New Resident Dies in Dallas Heat Shock
An Indiana man, 66 year old John Wesley Wynn of Newcastle, died after a heat stroke two days after arriving in Dallas to start a new life. He was Dallas's first heat victim this season as temperatures hit 103 on Sunday and 96 by noon Tuesday. Services will be held in Newcastle.
