Edward W. Reed, born in Mississippi on November 26, 1879, died at age 87. A retired farmer and Baptist Church member, he married Ada Stamps in 1904. she died in 1919. Survivors include four daughters Opal Ellis Desert Irene Withrow Blue Ridge Ernestine Lindsey Arlington Frances Hacker Amarillo. one son Edward W. Reed Jr. Longview. five grandchildren. twelve great grandchildren. and three sisters.
Vacation Bible School and worship services fill daily from Thursday to Thursday at First Baptist and First Methodist churches. Programs include Sunday school nursing home services prayer meetings choir rehearsals and youth circles with midweek Brotherhood and M Y F events.
