Wherry Attacks OPA Delays Senate Vote On Price Bill
A bitter attack by Kenneth Wherry Nebraska Republican whip and other Republicans delayed an early Senate vote on the new price and rent control revival bill. The House approved the measure 210 to 142 the prior day, but Senate uncertainty sparked a night session as speeches continued. O'Daniel and Texas Senator W Lee O'Daniel joined the critique, warning the decontrol board will follow administration policy and hinder production.
