County Road Taxes Harmonized Across Grayson County
In Saturdays election all road districts in Grayson County were dissolved and a uniform countywide road bond tax will apply. The report lists nine districts with their original bond totals and tax rates, totaling 1,274,000 in bonds with 835,000 remaining. A 900,000 county bond issue from 1915 funds belt system construction will be paid with a 15 cent tax over forty years. Tax readjustments set new rates per district, with increases for Nos 1 and 2 and decreases for Nos 5 through 9, while No 3 remains unchanged.

35 Cars Of Corn Received Tuesday In Whitewright
The Kimbell Mills of Whitewright received 35 cars of corn Tuesday and shipped out fifteen cars of shelled corn in a similar period. The plant has operated day and night for weeks, handling hundreds of corn cars since the year began. Most corn is shipped in cars and shelled, then re shipped as surplus farmers sell after recent rains.

Williams Filling Station Burglarized
The Williams Filling Station northwest of town was burglarized Monday night. A Yale lock was broken, about 90 gallons of gas were stolen from the outside pump and oil vanished. The owner noted the tank contained 115 gallons Monday afternoon and about 90 gallons were missing by Tuesday morning, suggesting intruders arrived with equipment. This is the second break‑in in three months.
