President Eisenhower seeks legislation to let about 40 million Americans avoid annual income tax forms. Four of five taxpayers would receive either a bill or a refund from the Internal Revenue Service by year end. The plan targets coordination of income and old age insurance tax procedures. Cotton Prop Again To Be 90 Percent Parity For 1955
Washington. Secretary Ezra T. Benson told the Senate Agriculture Committee that cotton farmers will receive 90 percent of parity for the 1955 crop. He said prices have been at or above 90 percent since last April and will be supported at that level next year. Wheat and major tobacco types are set at 82 percent and 90 percent respectively. Benson forecast a great decade ahead for American farmers.
