CP Backs Atomic Energy Project In Texas

Thornhill, a two year Whitewright city council member, files for re election. Mayor Summers notes he is the sole candidate for one of three council seats up for election April 5. Other terms expiring include Sonny Smith and Chester Slaughter. Election at Firemen's Hall 8 am to 7 pm. Thornhill is a 1939 Whitewright High School graduate, WW II era Army veteran, longtime CPS employee, and 38 year volunteer firefighter with church and nursing home duties.
