J E Whitlock, 65, died in a State senator's office in Lufkin as a pension application blank was being completed. He entered the law office of John Redditt yesterday afternoon seeking help with the old age pension. while secretary filled the form, he answered two questions and suddenly collapsed, dead.
State Liquor Fees Net 1 528 060 48 in two months
Austin reports two months of Liquor Control Act operation netted 1 528 060 48 in taxes and license fees. The board said 321 351 42 went to license fees with the rest to taxes. One quarter of income goes to the school fund with the remainder to old age pensions after operating expenses. Fifteen percent of the pension share goes to a reserve fund and 85 percent to the available fund.
