City Retires Four Thousand Bonded Indebtedness
Since the first of January the City of Whitewright has retired 4000.00 of its bonded indebtedness. The bonds paid off were 500.00 water works 500.00 funding 1000.00 school 1000.00 sewer and 1000.00 paying. Those in position to know say the financial condition of Whitewright is in as good condition as any town its size in Texas. Bond houses in their reports to bond buyers rate Whitewright bonds among the best. Whitewright has never defaulted in an interest or bond payment.
